We offer flexible and custom-designed experiences that will meet the unique needs or gaps within your organization or community. This can include small group or cohort based coaching sessions, workshops, mind-body recconection sessions, speaking/ poetry engagements, or other activities grounded in evidence based, strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and afro-centric frameworks.
Facilitated an interactive parent and teen workshop at the Center for Leadership Development (Indianapolis, IN) on April 22, 2026. The session explored redefining Black Excellence as prioritizing self-care while navigating stressful school environments, alongside Kandace’s personal reflections on attending predominantly White institutions.
In collaboration with the Indianapolis Shakespeare Company (Indy Shakes) and Aspire House, I curated and performed a 15-minute poetry set for Speak the Speech, a live spoken-word event held during Aspire House’s Fall Fest in Indianapolis. The performance featured six original poems, inviting audience members into an engaging, reflective experience through the power of poetry and spoken word.
Presented at the Young Achievers Academy Summer Camp on June 26, 2025 on the campus of the University of Indianapolis in partnership with the MICI-AHEC (Metropolitan Indianapolis-Central Indiana Area Health Education Center).
Presented on the campus of Butler University in Indianapolis Indiana on October 10, 2024. In partnership with the Efroymson Diversity Center, The Black Student Union, and the Hub for Black Affairs & Community Engagement.
What if Black Excellence was really about taking excellent care of yourself? In this interactive community session students learned ways to come home to their body, mind, spirit and soul. Staying connected to oneself in a society & educational structure meant to disconnect you from you, is an act of radical self- love.
